Orbit Group Property Maintenance Technician

The Orbit Group team is looking for someone who can help part time with the upkeep of three different properties in Manchester, NH. This will entail routine interior and exterior building maintenance, Landscaping and snow removal maintenance and  supervising any subcontracted duties. 

Description 

• Mow and maintain lawns and gardens. Keep grounds free of debris and trash.

• Plow, shovel and sand parking lots and walkways in the winter months. Keep properties safe, clean and inviting. 

• Communicate effectively with team members and sub contractors.

• Ensure that properties are safe and void of any danger to their occupants, visitors, and workers by putting away harmful objects and equipment, removing snow and debris from walkways. 

• Carry out repairs on minor problems with items such as light fixtures, clogged toilets, leaks, walls, doors and furniture damage. 

• Maintain open communication with the Orbit Group team, regarding upcoming projects and the states of existing projects. 

• Complete all maintenance requests in the order they were received, or by level of urgency. 

• Clean and prepare vacated buildings and rooms, getting them ready for new occupants to move in.

Education and work experience requirements.

•  High school education or equivalent

•  At least one year of experience

•  Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry

•  Ability to work with minimal supervision

•  Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer

• service oriented

•  Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask

• Ability to pass background check

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

•  Ability to push/lift 75 pounds

•  Ability to climb ladders

•  Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures

• Ability to work flexible hours.  

Compensation details:

• Salary: $15 - $20 / hour
